Sunny is the president and owner of Dakota County Lumber, as well as the 2019 Northwestern Lumber Association Dealer of the Year and the 2021 NLBMDA Independent Pro Dealer of the Year. Since she took over at Dakota County Lumber in 2013, she has managed a growing sales force, taken the single-location dealership through a complete renovation, and instilled a leadership vision that creates commitment from team members and unbreakable customer loyalty. She continues to be recognized for her advocacy efforts in promoting the next generation of skilled craftspeople within the construction industry and elevating the profile of women in construction. She was the Housing First Minnesota 2019 Housing Industry Leader of the Year, a member of the inaugural class of HBS Dealer magazine's Top Women in Hardware and Building Supply and is a recipient again in 2021.
